The Lions Yard Sale is the primary fundraiser that supports all of our community service activities. We appreciate all who come in search of treasures at our weekly sale at the Velona Building (near the LOW trash compactor site.) Customers can expect to find an ever-changing inventory of furniture, home décor items, collectibles, electronics, small appliances, dishes, glassware, toys & games, tools, outdoor items and more!

-home décor & wall art -older style CRT TVs
-housewares -stoves, washers/dryers

***Our furniture team managers will assess furniture items and may choose
to not accept based on condition, size, weight, saleability and current
availability of storage space.

Hour of Operation

The LOW Lions Yard Sale will be Open Saturdays, weather permitting. We do close for certain holidays so check below on this page for the latest info. Donation drop-offs will be accepted when the sale is open, up to 1/2 hour before close (see details below). Yard sale hours are 9:00 AM - 12:00 Noon

The Saturday Lions Velona Yard Sale will be closed when:

there is precipitation
there is a heat advisory
air temperatures, including wind chill, will be below freezing for the majority of the scheduled hours
there are existing icy, snowy ground conditions.

Closures will be posted on this website, our LOW Lions Facebook page, the Lake of the Woods VA Community Facebook page and the Lake of the Woods Yard Sale Group Facebook page

Donations

Donations of saleable items may be made between 9:00 AM–11:30 AM Saturdays at the Velona building if we are open. Please be considerate of our hard-working volunteers who are also setting up and putting away the yard sale items and adhere to these hours for donations.

While we appreciate your donations, please DO NOT leave items for donation outdoors in the Velona Building area unless Lions Club members are present to accept your donation. It is against dumping regulations and your items will be exposed to the elements. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Please refer to the Donation Guidelines below before bringing your items to the Velona building. We know that you want your donation to do the most good for your community. Please do not donate items that have been recalled, are stained, damaged, missing parts or are in need of repair. We appreciate you bringing your donations to our location! If you are unable to transport, please call 540-518-2440 and select 1 to arrange a pickup of furniture or a larger quantity of smaller items within Lake of the Woods.
